New Fave WeSite

I find myself waiting for the next of these fantastic, inspirational e-mail updates from my new favourite website to date, "Design*Sponge. You have to check it out and subscribe to the updates if you want to know what the rest of the world is up to in design! I know it's not Australian, and I do usually try to support and promote Aussie names, but this is an exceptional exception!
Follow this post's title to go to the design*sponge website. Ley me know what you think.......

WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

It seems that time has gotten away from me again. Not that I have been doing nothing, I have just completed 2 new custom order beach bags and am onto my next today. Someone said to me the other day I will soon be known as "the bag lady". I don't mind, it's better than "the cat lady"!

Take Handmade Everywhere!

I love making these keyrings. I have made bead jewellery for a long time now but don't really have a passion for it so thought I would use the bits of jewellery stuff that I have to create these cute keyrings. I have three of them hanging off my bag. They jingle when I walk because I put bells inside and I love them. Hope you will too! Check them out at my madeit store.

BROKE!

I broke my over-locker on Friday just as I was finishing off these two tu-tu skirts. Luckily i'm really into my crocheting at the moment or I would be totally lost for the next week.
I have found some amazing bag material. Can't wait to show them. I will be cutting out like mad while my overlocker is away, ready to get straight back into it.

These tu-tu skirts were made from a stash of fabrics I seem to have accumulated over the years so they are one offs. I will be listing them on my madeit store as soon as I find out what fabric they were for my description as I can't remember.

Just Listed

I have just listed this adorable single drop Swirls Mobile. Check it out at my madeit store!

As a child I owned an organ and had lessons. But I always wanted a piano. This mothers day I got myself one for $80, so i'm teaching myself to play. Whenever I need a break that is what I do. I am teaching myself Bella's Lullaby from the Twilight series. The kids are pretty into it aswell. Riley already plays violin in the school primary quartet and Charlize is very keen to learn anything. Will have to start her next year when she starts prep. SCARY!

HOLIDAYS

School holidays have started. Yay. I love them. Not having to be anywhere at a specific time. Sleeping in.
On Friday I spent the day with my sister Cori, 2 of her 3 boys and Riley. We went to Logan where I picked up some sheepskin offcuts to make booties with, then to Ikea for a shopping spree, Yay! that was fun.
We went to the Mudgeeraba show on Saturday. Charlize had a pony ride and got her face painted. Riley spent his pocket money on his first show bag. The weather was nice, but cold. On Sunday I went to the Body Mind and Soul expo in Brisbane. Was very interesting. Wish I had more money to get massage or maybe a reading done. Have never done that before, maybe next year?
Monday was spent at home in my jammies till a late afternoon spotlight trip. Got some nice new wool/soya blend yarns to make booties. Will post pics when complete. Note to self: blog when it happens! xxx

Scoop Neck Swing Top

Have been so busy lately. Don't get me wrong, I love being busy, I need to be busy, but I missed blogging about this latest listing on my madeit store. Nick likes to call it the "pineapple" top. I think it's absolutely georgeous. It's light and breezey, perfect for a day at play. Can also be worn over a long sleeve top. Charlize has a couple in different fabric and loves wearing them to pre-school or birthday parties.
